The former striker claims to know the reason behind a dissapointing season so far.

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes that he knows the reason as to why the Red Devils have failed to perform this season.

Despite spending big in the summer transfer window, United have failed to live up to expectations in both domestic and European competition.

United are on the brink of being knocked out of the Champions League and currently sit sixth in the Premier League, and while the team have managed to put together a solid run of form in England's top flight, there are still plenty of issues in the eyes of Saha.

One of those being the lack of goals being scored by United's strikers resulting in the team is having to rely on other players to put the ball in the back of the net.

“They’re getting away with it. There have been some goals from Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay that have saved them, but none of the goals are coming from the forwards," Saha told Betfred

"Against Luton, it was Victor Lindelöf’s turn to come to the rescue.

“They’re still struggling to create chances and that’s frustrating to see because Manchester United’s players have a lot of potential. It seems as if they haven’t clicked so far this season.”

United return to action on November 26 with a trip to Everton in the Premier League.
