Manchester United’s season slumped to an embarrassing low as they were well beaten by a very impressive Bournemouth side at Old Trafford.  

The 3-0 scoreline in favour of The Cherries will being the south coast plenty of plaudits but the spotlight will shine on Erik ten Hag who must be under serious pressure to keep his job. 

Following a decent win over Chelsea in midweek, there were hopes amongst United fans that the win could be a platform to push on Bournemouth brought them down to early on.  

Dominic Solanke opened the scoring for Bournemouth who protected their lead and things got even better for them in the second half. 

Further strikes from Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi stunned the home crowd and now Ten Hag must lift his players for could be the most crucial period of his United reign.  

They welcome Bayern Munich this week to and must win to keep their slim Champions League hopes alive before travelling to table topper, Liverpool, who hammered them 7-0 at the same ground last season.
