Former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Manu Petit believes that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be victorious at Old Trafford this weekend.
Chelsea travel to Manchester United as the two struggling sides face off as they look to kickstart their season.
Both Pochettino and his United peer, Erik ten Hag, are under increasing pressure as their attempts to qualify for the Champions League next season start to fall apart before half the season is done.
A win for either side could be a huge boost to morale and let the winners look ahead with optimism, with the January transfer window still to come.
Speaking to King Casino Bonus, Petit explained why he backed Chelsea to come away with three points.
He said: ''Manchester United vs Chelsea is a big game, and I can see Man United going out there with a point to prove, especially after all the criticism they've received from fans, pundits and former players.
“It'll be a tough one, but I can see Chelsea winning. I'll go for 2-1 or 3-2 in Chelsea's favour. Neither team is great at stopping the opposition from scoring.’’
