Chelsea's struggles continued on Sunday as the London side fell 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Two second-half goals by Wolves put the result beyond doubt, despite Christopher Nkunku's goal deep into stoppage time. It was Chelsea's fourth loss in their past five league matches as they find the climb towards the top of the table much tougher than it should be for a club of the Blues' pedigree.

Mauricio Pochettino couldn't conceal his displeasure following the match, stating that he felt his side should have come away with something.

"We feel very disappointed because I think we deserve much more," Pochettino told Sky Sports.

"This competition wounds you when you are not clinical enough.

"We created chances. That is why it is so disappointing. We conceded after a few corners and it was really difficult."

Chelsea underwent a big squad transformation ahead of the season, with several high-profile transfers for younger players. Pochettino noted that the lack of experience in the lineup may be hampering his side.

"We were talking a lot at the beginning of the season," he said. "We are young in age. It is a young team.

"We have players playing for the first time in the league. They need to adapt. It is confidence and about quality.

"We need to score if we want to win the games. We are very disappointed.

"Sometimes we have to keep a clean sheet if we cannot score. We conceded too many corners.

"We need to keep going and pushing. Young teams learn from this sort of game."
