All eyes might be on Germany this month as Euro 2024 prepares to begin, but some are already thinking about what will happen next season.
The Premier League title race is shaping up to be another thrilling affair, with Arsenal once again gearing up to challenge Manchester City's dominance. The intrigue is further heightened by the possibility that this will also be Pep Guardiola's last season in charge.
Then there's the question of Liverpool under new manager Arne Slot. The Reds were in the title conversation all the way to the final weeks of the season last campaign, so does former Anfield star Michael Owen believe they'll be in the hunt once again?
"Yeah, absolutely," Owen stated, talking exclusively to DAZN thanks to AceOdds.
"You look around and if the season is about to start now, then there’s question marks about a lot of teams. Arsenal emerged and obviously they jumped into the category. Now you're talking about Arsenal with Liverpool and Manchester City. But Liverpool came third and Liverpool were right in the race only until the last few games.
"So, nothing's changed bar the manager really, so yeah, absolutely Liverpool are in the conversation about the title next season.
"Can Arne Slot squeeze even more improvement out of the team that Jurgen Klopp did? That's the question. Can he do even better? It's a huge task, but we will see. But yeah, absolutely, they're in the conversation for the title."
