Another jam-packed week of MLS action is upon us, as we get full slates of matches over the weekend and in the midweek.
Things start in a big way as the Columbus Crew open the brand-new Lower.com Field in the city's downtown after more than 20 years at Historic Crew Stadium. The Crew host the New England Revolution for the occasion, pitting last year's Eastern Conference champions against this season's East leaders.
Central Ohio won't be the only place in a celebratory mood, as the July 4 weekend means that most venues will be having fireworks displays to mark the American Independence Day. On the field, fireworks can be expected in most games, but the Colorado Rapids vs. Seattle Sounders match-up has the best potential to be a classic as both teams are high up on the West table, with Seattle yet to have suffered a loss in 2021.
