With just two weeks of MLS action in the books, trends are already starting to form.
A handful of teams will be looking to halt those trends in Week 3. The likes of Inter Miami, FC Cincinnati and Charlotte FC have started the season in awful form, with each losing their first two respective matches and racking up a woeful goal differential in the process. They're joined by CF Montreal and Seattle Sounders in the two-loss club to start the campaign, although the latter two sides have their CONCACAF Champions League form to fall back on in a busy early part of the season.
The aforementioned Miami and Seattle each face Los Angeles opposition this weekend, with LAFC visiting South Florida and the Sounders hosting the Galaxy. Positive performances against the Southern California duo would help put Miami and Seattle's respective campaigns back on track, but it will be a challenge against the Nos. 2 and 3 sides in the Western Conference.
Meanwhile, Montreal will take on fellow Champions League participant New York City FC at Yankee Stadium, with both teams on short rest due to midweek CCL fixtures.
Elsewhere, Columbus Crew host a Toronto FC side looking to shake off a devastating three-goal loss last week, while the Vancouver Whitecaps aim to finally score a goal as they head to Houston to meet the Dynamo.
