Another full slate of MLS games is here, with the first all Canadian clash of the season kicking things off.
The Vancouver Whitecaps head east to face CF Montreal at Stade Saputo in a match-up of two teams that could use a win. The Whitecaps are the more desperate of the two sides for a taste of victory, as they head into the weekend second-last in the Western Conference with just four points from six games.
Meanwhile, Canada's other team will face its stiffest test of the young season as Toronto FC hosts the red-hot Philadelphia Union at BMO Field. The Union have run off five straight victories after drawing their season opener, and they'll take on a young TFC team that seems to be settling into its role as a playoff bubble club.
The biggest match of the week, on paper, is the Chicago Fire playing host to the LA Galaxy at Soldier Field. The Fire are hoping for a return to the field of talisman Xherdan Shaqiri, who is recovering from a calf injury and is by far Chicago's most creative player. Meanwhile, the Galaxy are rolling along and sit second in the West, with Chicharito Hernandez and Canadian winger Raheem Edwards part of an LA attack that's firing on all cylinders.
