MLS reaches the quarter-way mark of the 2022 season this weekend with 26 of the league's 28 teams in action.
Things get underway in Texas, where the Houston Dynamo welcome in-state rival Austin FC for a Saturday matinee. The visitors are second in the Western Conference and hold a five-point advantage over the Dynamo, so Houston will be aiming to bring the youngest of the Texas teams back down to Earth after a hot start to the campaign.
Elsewhere, Toronto FC and FC Cincinnati meet at BMO Field for the first of two matches in five days between the clubs. The unusual scheduling will make familiar foes of the sides, with Cincy looking up at the entire Eastern Conference and desperate to claw back into the midtable.
The game of the week goes Sunday as Nashville SC will finally play at home with the brand new GEODIS Park opening its doors to the public. The Tennessee club made a decent start to the campaign, earning 11 points from eight road matches to begin 2022, and now East-leading Philadelphia will pay a visit as Gary Smith's men look to establish a home-field advantage in the new digs.
