Heading into Wednesday's Champions League match against Ajax, the Neapolitans sit atop both the Serie A standings and their UCL group. The team has gotten to its lofty heights by way of dominant performances in recent weeks, including a 6-1 demolition of Ajax in Amsterdam on Matchday 3.
As such, Napoli will be seen as the overwhelming favourite on Wednesday, but the players aren't allowing themselves to get overconfident against their Dutch opponent.
“The first game against them is in the past," Napoli forward Giacomo Raspadori, who scored twice against Ajax last week, said. "We have to reset because they’ll be so determined and aggressive tomorrow and will be looking to get a good result.
“We’ll have our fans behind us, so they’ll give us something extra. We know how telling the support from our fans can be. We have to turn in a quality performance and we need to keep the intensity levels high because it’ll be a different game [Wednesday] compared with the one in Amsterdam."
