The Brazilian forward has changed his opinion of life in France.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is set to extend his stay in the French capital by signing a contract that would keep him at the club for another four years, according to reports in Brazil.

The 28-year-old Brazilian international had looked set to leave PSG with rumours speculating over his unhappiness as a regular feature of gossip columns over the past three years.

However Neymar appears to have a good relationship with club executive Leonardo, and the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel is said to have improved squad morale.

Another factor in his apparent decision to remain with the club may be the impact of the coronavirus. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona were his main options should he have wanted a return to Spain, but neither club is in a position to afford his wage demands and a huge transfer fee.

Real are also more likely to focus on his 22-year-old teammate Kylian Mbappe, who is yet to commit to signing an extension on his own contract, which expires in 2022.

Neymar has played 101 times for the PSG first team so far, scoring 83 goals. He has won the league in France for three consecutive seasons, and last year finished as a runner-up in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

PSG currently sit three points off the top of the table after 22 games played.
