There will be a repeat champion in this year's UEFA Women's Champions League.

After Barcelona advanced past Chelsea last week in one semi-final, VfL Wolfsburg booked their ticket on Monday thanks to a 3-2 second-leg win at Arsenal, giving the German side a 5-4 aggregate victory over the London side. That means Barca and Wolfsburg will meet on June 3 in Eindhoven to crown a UWCL winner.

Wolfsburg are no stranger to Women's Champions League finals, having played in five of them. Die Wölfinnen won back-to-back UWCL titles in 2013 and 2014 before finishing as runners-up to tournament record-holders Lyon in 2016, 2018 and 2020.

Barca, meanwhile, are newer powers in the world of women's football, first appearing the in the UWCL final in 2019 (a 4-1 loss to Lyon). The Blaugrana were 4-0 winners over Chelsea in 2021 before once again falling to Lyon last year.

While Barcelona are the relative new kids on the block at the elite level when compared to Wolfsburg, the Catalans have rocketed to the top of the sport and have lost just one match all season long. On June 3, Wolfsburg will look to hand Barca their second defeat.
