The French midfielder will miss both Europa League games against Real Sociedad.

Manchester United will be without Paul Pogba for at least the rest of the month, according to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer was speaking ahead of United’s Europa League match with Real Sociedad, which has been relocated from Spain to Turin, Italy, as a result of travel restrictions into Spain amid the coronavirus pandemic.

United are in the Europa League as they failed to qualify from their Champions League group last year, and have a number of injury concerns besides Pogba.

“He’s recovering well, he’s starting the treatment,” United boss Solskjaer said of the French midfielder.

“It’ll still be a good few weeks, so he won’t be playing in February, that’s for sure. Still a few weeks until we see Paul, definitely.”

The injury means that United will miss both Sociedad matches, and league games against Newcastle and Chelsea. The injury also puts his involvement in the March Manchester derby in doubt.

There are four more injury concerns, as the Norwegian explained.

“Apart from (Pogba), we have a couple of doubts or doubtful ones if they’ll be fit enough in Anthony (Martial) and Scott (McTominay) so we’ll have to check them tomorrow,” Solskjaer said.

“And Donny (van der Beek) and Edinson (Cavani) - definitely not travelling. They are injured, unfortunately. Muscle injuries.”
