Who would win the classic encounter?

Manchester City’s current side has won plenty of plaudits in recent years due to the continued success they’ve had at home and abroad.

Pep Guardiola’s side are rightly seen as one of the Premier League’s finest ever teams but how would they fare against another collection of players seen by some as the best the English top flight has ever witnessed?

In 2004, Arsenal made history as they went through their entire Premier League campaign without losing a game before becoming champions.

Ray Parlour, a member of Arsene Wenger’s invincible side, is a huge admirer of Manchester City, but he thinks the team he played in would be able to get past them.

“It's very hard to judge how a game between them would go,” said Parlour when speaking to Lord Ping

“I think we'd give City a game and just nick it. I think 2-1 to Arsenal. You could go back to Manchester United's 1999 team or Mourinho's first Chelsea teams as they were very good as well.”
