Portugal vs. Nigeria: Time, TV channel, preview and how to watch international friendly match in CanadaDAZN

On Thursday, Portugal will play their final friendly match ahead of the World Cup, with Nigeria lined up as the opponents.

The Portuguese open their World Cup campaign a week later against Ghana, and it is believed that a friendly against another African side will serve as proper preparation for that match. Portugal carry high expectations into Qatar, where they'll be in Group H with the aforementioned Ghana as well as Uruguay and South Korea.

Thursday's friendly will be the first game for Cristiano Ronaldo after his incendiary comments over the weekend about Manchester United and Erik ten Hag, adding a bit of dramatic subtext to what would otherwise have been a rather straightforward exhibition.

For the Nigerians, the match represents the close to a disappointing 2022 in which they failed to qualify for Qatar. Instead, they'll look forward to 2023, where they'll resume AFCON qualification as the undefeated leaders in Group A.
