Gareth Southgate would be interested in managing Manchester United if the position became available.
That’s the verdict of Robert Huth, a three-time Premier League winner, who believes that the opportunity to manage one of the world’s biggest clubs would be too good of a chance for Southgate to turn down.
As it stands, the current England manager is currently putting all his efforts into ensuring that his side go one better than they did at the last European Championships, where they reached the final before losing to Italy.
Southgate has performed admirably for his country but with speculation intensifying regarding the hot seat at Old Trafford, Huth has had his say on the matter.
"Sometimes you need to be harsh and say it as it is. I don't know if that is what Manchester United need, because I just don't know where they are at the moment,” said Huth when speaking to Instant Casino.
“They've had successful managers in the past, but they haven't worked out for whatever reason either. It is a difficult one to work out, but I am sure Gareth would go for it if the situation were to arise. Not many managers turn down Manchester United, that is for sure."
