Marcus Rashford's season to forget has extended into the summer as the Manchester United attacker was left off England's Euro 2024 squad.
Rashford's 2023-24 campaign was underwhelming, matching that of his club. The 26-year-old failed to crack double-digit goals after scoring 30 goals a year previous, and rumours abound that Rashford will be one of the many who are ushered out of the club by owner Jim Ratcliffe this summer.
However, retired Premier League winner Wayne Bridge isn't ready to close the door on Rashford's time at Old Trafford. Speaking to Betfred, Bridge suggested there is way for Rashford to regain the form that made him one of the most feared attackers in England, but it would require a subtle touch from someone in charge.
“I don’t really know where his head’s at," Bridge said. "I’m very big on the mental side of the game and I don’t know if his head’s gone a bit or there’s a problem with his attitude.
"He possibly needs someone to put an arm around him and give him a talking to. I don’t know all the details, but I wouldn’t suggest that he needs to get out of Manchester United yet. That could be a question that gets answered this summer, but he’s obviously got a lot of ability.”
