It's finally here!

After a pandemic-induced delay and a massive format overhaul, the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League final is set for Sunday, with Paris Saint-Germain taking on Bayern Munich in a mouth-watering contest.

The two giants were the best teams in UEFA's reformed knockout stage "bubble" in Lisbon, Portugal, and they've been rewarded with a chance to lift club soccer's biggest trophy.

For PSG, Sunday's match represents the first time the club will compete at this stage of the competition. Winning the Champions League has been a top priority for the French capital club since Qatari ownership took charge nearly a decade ago, but unprecedented spending on global superstars has finally paid off as PSG is one win away from fulfilling its destiny.

Standing in the way, however, is a juggernaut that seems to get better with every match. Bayern has been nearly unstoppable since Hansi Flick took the reins as manager in November of last year. Die Roten have claimed yet another Bundesliga title as well as the DFB-Pokal, so a Champions League victory in Lisbon would complete a dominant treble.

Bayern is going for its sixth UCL title, and it would be the first in which the German side has won every single match en route to the championship. Flick's men have scored at will throughout the tournament, and another three goals would tie them with 1999-00 Barcelona as the most prolific team in the history of the competition.

If any team can match the Bundesliga champs for firepower it's PSG, as Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria are a formidable trio in the mould of Bayern's Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller and Serge Gnabry. It'll be an interesting match-up as both sides have proven to be lethal in this UCL run, putting the onus on Flick and PSG manager Thomas Tuchel to come up with a game plan for the most intense 90 minutes (or more) that either side will encounter this year.
