Liverpool is in a fight on two fronts at the moment.
In the Premier League, the Reds find themselves in 10th place after a forgetful start to the 2022-23 campaign. They fell to league-leading Arsenal over the weekend and face second-place Manchester City on Sunday.
But in between, Liverpool will have to face Scottish side Rangers in the Champions League. Jurgen Klopp's side is second after three matches — including a 2-0 victory over the Glasgow club last week — but the way things are going there is no guarantee that Liverpool will find itself in the knockouts unless the team's form improves.
For that to happen, Klopp says his players will have "to keep fighting."
"That is what we will do [Wednesday] night because we have to do it because Rangers, not only after what Giovanni van Bronckhorst said in the press conference or the interviews, want to put things right and they want to get points in the Champions League group," Klopp said.
"They tried it with another defensive approach with five at the back and now they want to attack and want to go for it in a great atmosphere. I never played here (at Ibrox) and I am really excited to experience that. It's a tough game in a different competition, [but] that's what we have to do."
