Thursday's game pits first place Real Sociedad (15 points) against second place United (12 points), with the visiting side needing a victory to have a chance at the automatic last-16 spot for Group E. The teams met on Matchday 1, with the Spanish side claiming a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford on that day.
If the Red Devils are to usurp the top spot, they'll need to better that result on Thursday, and that's exactly what United manager Erik ten Hag expects from his team.
"We know what we have to do [to win the group]," Ten Hag said. "It's a different team [to the reverse fixture], we are growing and developing, so we are confident. We like the challenge."
