Bruno Guimaraes has emerged as a leading figure since joining Newcastle United from Lyon in 2022, and his play at St. James' Park has led to the inevitable links to bigger clubs.
While Newcastle aspire to become a top Premier League side soon, they are not quite at the level of title contenders Arsenal and Manchester City just yet. Unsurprisingly, it's those two clubs who are rumoured to have interest in the Brazilian, with a summer move potentially in the cards.
Former Brazil international Rivaldo feels that there's only one choice for his younger countryman, should he elect to leave Newcastle.
Speaking Betfair, the World Cup winner explained why do think Arsenal wouldn't be Guimaraes' choice for a move.
"Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester City," Rivaldo said. "He's a great player and has been standing out this season.
"It's clear that nowadays everyone wants to play for Manchester City because they have Pep Guardiola and a very tight and harmonious team.
"I believe that if Guimaraes leaves Newcastle, he will choose to go to Manchester City."
