Most defenders don't relish having to square up with Cristiano Ronaldo, but Ruben Dias is looking forward to the opportunity.
The Manchester City centre-back says he's "happy" for Ronaldo now that the 36-year-old is back in England with Manchester United, and Dias knows he'll have to be on top form when the Red Devils host the Sky Blues in the next edition of the Manchester derby on Nov. 6.
"It will definitely be a very interesting game," Dias told DAZN. "I know him quite well, and knowing him quite well you know that you never know him well enough."
Dias has seen up close what Ronaldo is capable of as they are both mainstays of the Portuguese national team. The 24-year-old will likely line up alongside his superstar countryman in October when Portugal resumes its World Cup qualifying campaign, but after that they'll become rivals in one of the biggest derbies in the Premier League.
"You need to be very sharp because he's capable of things that you don't see very often," Dias said.
"So it will definitely be a very, very interesting game."
