Former Premier League gaffer sees big future for young stars.

Sam Allardyce believes Liverpool could have discovered a group of young players that could go on to be their 'Class of 92'.

Manchester United's famous academy side of 1992 featured future legends such as Gary Neville, David Beckham and Paul Scholes, and this season has seen Liverpool blood a number of teenagers from their academy system at the same time.

Conor Bradley, Bobby Clarke, Jayden Danns and Lewis Koumas have all played a big role in Liverpool's quadruple quest after being given a chance by Jurgen Klopp, and speaking to William Hill and Footy Accumulators’ podcast, No Tippy Tappy Football, Big Sam hopes the new manager will continue to give them opportunities.

“Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool is a sad thing,” said Allardyce.

“The new coach is going to be younger, less experienced and whether he will have the same nerve as Jurgen to give the academy lads a chance remains to be seen. When he watches them train, he might think they’re good enough, but there could be a spell with the new manager where he doesn’t give the youngsters the opportunity to thrive in the first team.

“Jurgen has the confidence to play the academy lads and it is starting to look a bit like the Class Of ’92, because there are so many of them!”
