Belgium remains unbeaten in 2021 after drawing Greece, 1-1, in an international friendly on Thursday in Brussels.
It looked like the Red Devils would be on their way to a victory after Thorgan Hazard struck in the 20th minute to give his side the lead. However, a 66th-minute goal by Georgios Tzavellas put the Greeks on level terms, denying Belgium a momentum-boosting win ahead of the Euro 2020 tournament.
Despite the draw, Belgium's undefeated streak was extended to seven matches. The team's last loss was a 2-1 defeat away to England on Oct. 11, 2020, with the Red Devils winning all but one match since then.
Roberto Martinez's side will get another chance to get in the winning mindset ahead of the continental championship on Sunday, with an exhibition scheduled against Croatia.
The World No. 1-ranked side, Belgium is among the favourites to win the tournament, which was delayed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The team opens its Euro 2020 campaign against Russia on June 12.
