The Sky Blues fell 2-1 on Saturday.

Manchester City will have to wait at least one more day to open the champagne.

The Sky Blues would've wrapped up the 2020-21 Premier League title with a win over visiting Chelsea on Saturday, and they appeared to be well on their way after Raheem Sterling opened the scoring in the 44th minute. M

oments later, Sergio Aguero was given the opportunity to double the lead when he stepped up to take a penalty kick, but his ill-advised Panenka attempt was easily collected by Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Instead of heading into the halftime break up 2-0, City instead held just the one-goal advantage following Ageuro's dreadful spot-kick. That opened the door for Chelsea to throw a wrench into City's title celebrations, which is exactly what the Londoners did when Hakim Ziyech fired a low blast for the equalizer just after the hour mark.

Chelsea then sealed the comeback victory deep into stoppage time as Marcos Alonso scored from close range.

City can still clinch the title this weekend, as a loss by second-place Manchester United on Sunday at Aston Villa would mathematically end the race in favour of Pep Guardiola's men.

Chelsea and City will face off once again on May 29 in the Champions League final (May 29, live exclusively on DAZN on Canada).
