A.C. Milan's cushion atop the Serie A standings keeps growing.
The Rossoneri have built up a five-point lead over archrival Inter Milan thanks to a robust attack and stingy defence. Milan's nine goals against is third-best in the league while the club is led in its attack by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who continues to top the Serie A scoring chart despite missing the last two league games (four games in all competitions) with a thigh injury.
The 39-year-old Swede notably also missed matches early in the season after testing positive for COVID-19, so his 10 goals have actually only come from six appearances in the Italian top-flight so far.
Ibrahimovic's availability is in doubt for Milan's Matchday 11 closer on Sunday as the team takes no risks with the aging star, but the club should still feel confident in its ability to defeat 16th-place Parma regardless.
Elsewhere, Milan's three closest challengers (Inter, Napoli and Juventus) are all in action against teams in the bottom half of the table — increasing the pressure on all three to win, or lose ground.
