Inter Milan increased its lead atop the Serie A standings during the midweek fixtures, defeating Parma 2-1 to go six points clear.
The Nerazzurri have won six straight games in the league (nine unbeaten) and show no signs of slowing down. They'll have the luxury of playing in the final fixture of Matchday 26 — a Monday encounter against fourth-place Atalanta — so they'll know if they'll be aiming to simply maintain their lead or possibly increase it.
Before that, second-place AC Milan will have a chance to chip away at the lead. The Rossoneri travel to Verona for a Sunday match against the eighth-place side, who they drew 2-2 in the reverse fixture back in early November.
Meanwhile, Juventus hosts Lazio on Saturday in arguably the match of the weekend. Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. are 10 points back of Inter but hold a game in hand, while Lazio could jump up to as high as sixth place with a victory over Juve.
