Inter Milan continues to pull away from the rest of the pack at the top of the Serie A standings, with the club now boasting a nine-point lead over the closest challenger (AC Milan) with just 11 matches left to play.
The Nerazzurri won't have to wait long to try to add to their advantage as they're back in action on Saturday when eighth-place Sassuolo visits. Inter won 3-0 during the reverse fixture back in November, and that was well before the league-leader's current red-hot form (eight straight Serie A wins).
By the time second-place Milan plays this weekend, the Rossoneri will know exactly what's needed to keep pace with their arch-rivals. They'll visit Fiorentina on Sunday looking to get back into the win column after falling to Napoli on Matchday 27.
The match of the weekend is the final one of the round, as Sunday afternoon's Roma vs. Napoli contest pits the sixth- and fifth-place teams, respectively, against each other. The sides are actually tied on points (both with 50), although Napoli has a game in hand. Regardless, a result for either side could go a long way toward deciding which of the teams gets into Europe at the end of the campaign.
