The 2020-21 Serie A title race is over, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to play for over the final four matchdays.
Inter Milan wrapped up the Scudetto last weekend, with Atalanta's draw on Sunday the final result needed to secure the championship for the Nerazzurri. Inter celebrated at their training ground after the fact, and the new champs will be able to go on something of a victory tour over the remaining weeks of the season.
With the title no longer in play, the remaining European spots become the main focus of the campaign. Incredibly, three teams enter Matchday 35 tied for second place. Atalanta, Juventus, and Milan all sit on 69 points, with fifth place Napoli two points behind. Even Lazio, in sixth with 64 points, are in with a very good shout to nab one of the three Champions League berths still on offer, making for a hotly-contested final stretch of games.
At the bottom of the table, Parma and Crotone have guaranteed themselves relegation to Serie B next season, with Beneveto next in line for the drop. However, there are five other teams within five points of Beneveto's position on the table, giving Filippo Inzaghi's side very real motivation to somehow get on a hot streak to end the campaign.
