Juventus' reign as champion of Serie A will end after nearly a decade, but adding insult to injury is the possibility that the Bianconeri could miss out on the Champions League next season as well.
The club fell to fifth place in the standings after a humiliating 3-0 loss to visiting AC Milan over the weekend, putting Juve on the outside looking in for Serie A's Champions League places. Fortunately for the Andrea Pirlo-led side, there are still three matches left to pull themselves back into the top four, starting with a visit to Sassuolo on Wednesday.
Sassuolo's also playing for a spot in European competition next season, as the club finds itself two points behind seventh-place Roma heading into Matchday 36. The seventh-placed finisher will qualify for the brand new Europa Conference League, which would be a boon for a club of Sassuolo's size, but a win over Juventus is pretty much required this week to keep that hope alive.
