A number of Liverpool names have been linked with possible exits from the club this summer as the club prepares for life under new boss Arne Slot.
There is speculation on the futures of Mohammed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander Arnold, while Alisson has also the subject of interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
The Brazilian goalie has been a revelation since signing for Liverpool. However, if he were to end his time on Merseyside, former defender Stephen Warnock has identified a possible replacement.
Speaking to BetVictor Warnock thinks the Reds should have a look at one of the keepers of the tournament at Euro 2024, Georgia hero Giorgi Mamardashvili.
“It’ll be interesting to see where the Georgia goalkeeper, Giorgi Mamardashvili, ends up,” he said.
“When you look at the situation with the Saudi Pro League at the moment, they’re putting their hand in their pockets again and Alisson’s name has been thrown into that conversation.
“Mamardashvili has been the standout goalkeeper of Euro 2024 and he could be on Liverpool’s radar if they were to look at letting Alisson leave. They may look to cash in and reinvest in Mamardashvili who would be a cheaper, younger option for years to come.”
