The Premier League has seen some incident-packed games since the inaugural season in 1992/93, but the current campaign has set new records when it comes to the dirtiest clash in the league's history.

New research by Onlinecasinos365 has discovered the dirtiest Premier League games of all time by analysing the number of yellow, second yellow, and red cards given in all Premier League matches.

Taking the top spot is December's meeting between Brentford and Aston Villa, where ten yellow cards were shown and two red cards in Villa's late 2-1 win at the GTech Community Stadium.

September's controversial clash between Tottenham and Liverpool comes in second, while two further games from 2023 occupy the top ten.
