Spurs had to settle for a draw at Goodison Park.

Tottenham Hotspur dropped more points at the top end of the Premier League on Saturday as they conceded in injury time to draw 2-2 away at Everton.

Two goals from Richarlison looked to have given Spurs a 2-1 win at Goodison Park, but Jarrad Branthwaite's set piece goal earned the Toffees a point in the 94th minute.

The draw sees Spurs sit seven points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, having also played a game more than Jurgen Klopp's team.

Speaking to BBC Sport after their draw against Everton, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou criticised the officiating and identified where things went wrong for his side.

"In the second half we had good chances and we needed the third goal to kill the game off. Unfortunately we couldn't hold out," said Postecoglou.

"It seems like referees just let things go nowadays and let VAR decide. We're disappointed to concede so late.

"It seems like there's a trend with us that referees aren't prepared to intervene in those kind of situations, we have to accept that.

"The nature of it, conceding so late, doesn't give us the chance to wrestle it back. We just have to accept that."

Tottenham could find themselves further behind in the title race when Liverpool play Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
