    The stakes are always high in the North London Derby, but the latest edition presents far different motivation for each of the two sides.

    Tottenham Hotspur hosts arch-rival Arsenal on Sunday with the ability to remain on top of the Premier League. Spurs head into Matchday 11 tied on points with Liverpool, but they hold the relevant tiebreakers to allow them to claim the top spot of the league standings. It's been a superb start to the season for Jose Mourinho's men, with Tottenham enjoying a nine-game unbeaten run since a disappointing opening-weekend loss.

    Spurs entered the weekend as the only Premier League team to have allowed single-digit goals against, while at the same time posting the third-best attack (their 21 goals scored are just one behind co-leaders Liverpool and Chelsea).

    It's been a great start to the campaign for Tottenham, while the exact opposite is true for Arsenal.

    The Gunners head into the weekend in 14th place and without a Premier League victory since Nov. 1. Mikel Arteta's side has scored just once since that win, dropping the once-mighty club to a mediocre 4-1-5 overall record.

    Long gone are the good feelings prompted by a promising start to the campaign, replaced by a seemingly aimless team that has lost its identity. Arsenal enters the latest North London Derby in its worst shape in years, but Mourinho and Co. know that — despite being overwhelming favourites to take all three points on Sunday — anything can happen when these clubs meet.
