The sprint to the finish that is the 2019-20 UEFA Europa League knockout round has reached the penultimate stage.
Matches resumed in early August after the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the competition during the Round of 16 back in March. Due to the differing effects the pandemic had on regions throughout Europe, some of the first legs were able to be played while others were postponed. The remainder of the tournament (except for most of the leftover Round of 16 fixtures) was revamped as a single-elimination tournament in Germany, and sixteen teams were whittled down to eight in early August.
Now the eight have been pared down to four.
Here's everything you need to know about the final stretch of the Europa League.

Where is the 2020 Europa League?
The final eight teams have been greeted in Germany by four modern venues with recent histories of hosting big events.
Each quarterfinal was contested in a different stadium, with Cologne's RheinEnergieStadion, the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf, Schalke's Veltins-Arena and the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg serving as the host venues. All four were built or extensively renovated ahead of the 2006 World Cup, and all should provide splendid backdrops as the eyes of the soccer world look on.
The Aug. 17 semifinal will be played at the Merkur Spiel-Arena, while RheinEnergieStadion has been selected to host the first semifinal and the Aug. 21 final.
