Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has backed current manager Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League, and their inconsistent performances and lack of identity have raised questions over the manager's future.

In an interview with Betfred, Saha offered his support to Ten Hag. Saha said, "I really hope he can remain the club’s manager and have a great era at Manchester United. I believe Erik’s a good coach."

However, Saha did concede that poor results have created more pressure on the Dutch manager; "At the same time, he’s under pressure because both the results and level of performances haven’t been great."

Saha continued, "He’s the only person at the club who can really understand what’s happening behind the scenes, and it’s his responsibility to find a solution to his side’s poor form."

However, as much as Saha backed Ten Hag, the ex-French international questioned Ten Hag's signings.

Saha commented on Mason Mount and Antony, saying, "He signed Mason Mount, who’s been unimpressive despite a decent cameo against Luton on Saturday, and he’s not done enough. Antony is another signing that’s sat on the bench."
