Manchester United went on a tear to beat nine-man Southampton 9-0 in the Premier League on Tuesday night thanks to two goals by Anthony Martial.
Goals were also scored by Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Marcus Rashford, Jan Bednarek, Edinson Cavani, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes, and Daniel James.
Southampton was reduced to 10 men after Alexandre Jankovitz was red-carded for a shocking first-minute tackle on Scott McTominlay, while Jan Bednarek was harshly dismissed while conceding an 86th-minute penalty, which Bruno Fernandes converted.
The win - United’s biggest since beating Ipswich Town in 1995 - puts Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s tied with Manchester City, who have two games in hand.
