Arsenal may have escaped Craven Cottage with a 1-1 draw, but the Gunners feel they did enough to defeat Fulham on Sunday.

The Cottagers once again proved a thorn in their visitors' side after Raul Jimenez's 11th-minute goal forced the North London side to mount a comeback, and while William Saliba was able to pull one back for the Gunners in the second half, it was all Arsenal could muster on the day.

Saliba's goal energised the visiting side, who attacked for most of the second half and even thought they had found a late winner only for VAR to deem the move offside.

Instead, Arsenal had to settle for a single point on a weekend when league leaders Liverpool were idle, leaving the Gunners with a sense that they squandered an opportunity to further close the gap at the top of the table.

"We dominated most of the game," Odegaard told Sky Sports. "The first half wasn't great. We were a bit sloppy and lacked energy and power. The second half was a lot better. It's frustrating not to win. We were close in the end with the goal.

"They're a good team. They know how to defend. A solid block. We didn't do enough today. We have to learn from that and straight back in for the next one.

"We have to focus on ourselves. We don't care about the other teams [in the title race].

"We did a lot of good things. We have to do more and put the ball in the box more times. Maybe be a bit more direct and aggressive. We could have won it in the end.

"It's a very long way to go. We've said hundreds of times we have to keep going game by game."
