This year's World Cup has created a huge logistical headache for many European football leagues.
With the tournament being staged in Qatar, it was decided that the World Cup will be staged in the winter due to high temperatures the country experiences during the height of summer.
This means that football's biggest competition will take place in the middle of the European club football season, meaning schedules have to be amended, including Germany's Bundesliga.
DAZN breaks down all the key dates German football fans need to know for the upcoming Bundesliga season and how they are affected by the 2022 World Cup.
When does the 2022/23 Bundesliga season start?
The season will get underway on August 5 with defending champions Bayern Munich travelling to last season's Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt.
When does the 2022/23 season pause for the World Cup?
The World Cup will take place between November 21 and December 18, which means the last round of Bundesliga matches will take place on the weekend of November 11-13. Check out the full World Cup schedule here.
Despite there being no Bundesliga games for a month, there will still be the winter break when the World Cup ends, therefore the 2022/23 Bundesliga season will resume on January 20, 2023.
