When the international break ends next week, the final sprint to the finish line of the Premier League will begin.

Three teams have put themselves above the rest in a title race for the ages, as just a single point separates Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the table after 28 matches played.

With such slim margins, the respective sides' opponents will have a lot to say about which team ultimately claims the league crown. But which of the front-runners has the toughest schedule to close the season? And which side enjoys a softer set of fixtures?

With the help of Soccer Stats, DAZN takes a look at the three teams' remaining strength of schedule.

Arsenal (64 points)

Opponents' PPG: 1.63

Remaining matches:

  • PPD: Chelsea (H)
  • March 31: Manchester City (A)
  • April 3: Luton (H)
  • April 6: Brighton (A)
  • April 13: Aston Villa (H)
  • April 20: Wolves (A)
  • April 27: Tottenham (A)
  • May 4: Bournemouth (H)
  • May 11: Manchester United (A)
  • April 19: Everton (H)

The league leaders face the stiffest competition over their final 10 games, with their opponents sporting a combined 1.63 points-per-game.

And they'll jump feet first into the fire, facing City in their first game back after the break. Arsenal's next four opponents have a 1.69 combined PPG, so if they can get through that stretch unscathed they will have a clear route to the title — although away matches against Tottenham and Manchester United loom in the final four weeks of the campaign.

Liverpool (64 points)

Opponents' PPG: 1.37

Remaining matches:

  • PPD: Everton (A)
  • March 31: Brighton (H)
  • April 4: Sheffield United (H)
  • April 7: Manchester United (A)
  • April 14: Crystal Palace (H)
  • April 20: Fulham (A)
  • April 27: West Ham (A)
  • May 4: Tottenham (H)
  • May 11: Aston Villa (A)
  • May 19: Wolves (H)

Liverpool enjoy the easiest fixture list of the title-chasers, but they'll do well not to get complacent. Their next four opponents have a combined 1.09 PPG, but that only means that things get tougher after a relatively easy stretch following the international break.

A rematch of last weekend's epic FA Cup quarter-final with rivals Manchester United is among those first four matches, and Liverpool still have away matches at West Ham, Aston Villa and derby rivals Everton to navigate.

Manchester City (63 points)

Opponents' PPG: 1.52

Remaining matches:

  • PPD: Brighton (A)
  • March 31: Arsenal (H)
  • April 3: Aston Villa (H)
  • April 6: Crystal Palace (A)
  • April 13: Luton (H)
  • April 20: Tottenham (A)
  • April 27: Nottingham Forest (A)
  • May 4: Wolves (H)
  • May 11: Fulham (A)
  • May 19: West Ham (H)

City have the second-toughest run-in of the title contenders. Like Arsenal, their opponents' PPG will drop considerably after the massive March 31 fixture between the Sky Blues and Gunners, and they have tricky away fixtures against top 8 sides Tottenham, West Ham and Brighton all to contend with.

Last year's run-in is where City separated themselves from Arsenal. Now they'll also have Liverpool to try to pull away from, but if any team has shown the ability to do so it's Pep Guardiola's side.
