The 24-team Euro 2020 tournament is slowly morphing into a 16-team competition.
With the group stage coming to an end, only the top two sides from each group plus the four best third-place finishers will move on to the round of 16. That means a nervy, frantic few days of soccer as the group-stage finales play out across the continent.
As with most major tournaments, some some of the survivors of the group stage will be expected — while others will be a surprise.
Here's how the knockouts are shaping up.
| Group | Winner | Runner-up |
| A | Italy | Wales |
| B | Belgium | Denmark |
| C | Netherlands | Austria |
| D | England | Croatia |
| E | Sweden | Spain |
| F | France | Germany |
