Last season, Liverpool missed out on the title by one point and they'll be hoping that they can find the stamina to compete with Manchester City again in what promises to be another fascinating title race.

<h2>Who do Liverpool play in their first game?</h2>

Liverpool will travel to Craven Cottage on the opening day of the season as they face last season's Championship winners, Fulham.

Marco Silva's side were by far the best team in England's second tier last season, but they can expect a tough life back in the Premier League as they face Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool who have just enjoyed success in the Community Shield.

The fixture takes place on Saturday lunchtime with kick-off scheduled for 12.30pm BST / 7.30 a.m. ET.
