Arsenal have put themselves back into the Premier League title race after a rough holiday period, with six straight league victories since the calendar changed over to 2024.
Their recent patch of form is unmatched by any other side, yet they still find themselves two points and two spots back of league-leading Liverpool.
The Gunners and Reds are joined in the title race by Manchester City, who are coming off a treble and know what it takes to claim the league's crown.
With 12 games remaining the title is well and truly up for grabs, but a former Arsenal player doesn't believe his old club will be able to top their two rivals in the race.
Speaking to Lord Ping, William Gallas expressed doubt over the North London side's ability to capture the title this season — although he sees better days ahead for them.
"As I said before, it will be difficult for Arsenal to win the Premier League," Gallas said. "They have improved from last season for sure.
"It will be a nice story if they win as the last time was 20 years ago so it will be a great story.
"I want to see a London team to win the Premier League, but I don’t think Arsenal will win the Premier League this season, next season they definitely will."
