Andy Murray to begin quest for third gold medal against Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime

The Canadian is the ninth seed.

Andy Murray already touts two Olympic gold medals on his flashy resume.

However, the British tennis star's journey toward a third gold medal won't be easy, as he has garnered the tough draw of facing ninth seed Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in the first round to launch his Tokyo 2020 Olympic journey as the Games' tennis action starts

His draw in doubles action will be challenging as well, as he'll team up with fellow Brit Joe Salisbury to take on France's Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert. Murray has hip surgery twice since winning the gold medal at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics.

"I've prepared as best as I can. I have tough draws in singles and doubles but I think I have a chance," Murray told BBC recently.

He added: "If I can get through a round or two I'll start to feel more comfortable. I also have the experience of playing in the Olympics, which I can use to my advantage."

Other first-round draws include No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic taking on Bolivia's Hugo Dellien, while Naomi Osaka seeks Japan's first gold medal for tennis, beginning with a matchup against Zheng Saisai of China.
