Sami Zayn led the way.

Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 had four championship titles up for grabs including the Women's World Championship, Intercontinental Championship and both the Raw and SmackDown Tag-Team titles.

Out of those four straps, only one champion retained the belt as Rhea Ripley overpowered Becky Lynch to remain the Women's champ.

That being said, three new champions were crowned and these are the titles that changed hands:

Sami Zayn shocks Gunther to become the new Intercontinental Champion

It took encouragement from his wife and son, Chad Gable and Kevin Owens ... and it all paid off.

Zayn used a never-say-die drive to rally from a beating Gunther was giving him and end the man's stronghold of a championship reign, which was threatening to hit 700 days.

Zayn did it with a miraculous Helluva Kick and brain buster out of nowhere. He then added two more Helluva Kicks to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

New Raw and SmackDown Tag-Team Champions are crowned

The Judgment Day duo of Damian Priest and Finn Balor walked into WrestleMania 40 on Saturday night as the Undisputed WWE Tag-Team Champions. They left Philadelphia on Night 1 empty-handed.

Their first titles — the SmackDown straps — were the first to be relinquished as Austin Theory and Grayson Waller seized the opportunity.

Just when it looked like Priest would have a hand in at least keeping the Raw titles, R-Truth decided to do something about it as he exacted revenge on Judgment Day for the Awesome Truth to leave Philly as the new Raw Tag Champs.
