Bryan Danielson has identified one AEW wrestler as someone he loves wrestling and that man is Ricky Starks.
A veteran of WWE and ROH, Danielson’s legendary matches had earned widespread acclaim throughout the wrestling business but that hasn’t prevented the American Dragon from enhancing his impressive reputation at Tony Khan’s company.
At All Out in September, Danielson returned to the ring following a spell on the sidelines as he took part in a vicious strap match against the current AEW tag team champion.
The bout went in multiple directions as each wrestler went above and beyond in delivering an instant classic, but it was Danielson who claimed victory even though Stark's stock increased in defeat.
With his outstanding AEW run still in full flow, Danielson has heaped praise on Starks whilst naming his favourite AEW matches.
“I really love the match I had with Moxley the night the Blackpool Combat Club was kind of formed where Regal comes out as it’s a special moment for me,” said Danielson during an exclusive sit-down with DAZN .
“I love the first one with Kenny Omega. I’m gonna name four. I actually love the Okada match. When you do something that is really hard, it has a special place in your heart. That was the Okada match. I broke my arm and wrestled for another ten minutes. That’s very rewarding.
“The other one, and this is someone who I think is fantastic, the strap match that I had with Ricky Starks. I love that match and I think Ricky Starks is fantastic. I love wrestling him.”
