Bill Goldberg is arguably the biggest free agent in professional wrestling, but are we set to see the former WCW and WWE superstar show up in AEW?
A number of legendary figures from the sport such as Chris Jericho and Sting have made Tony Khan’s company their home in recent years, but could Goldberg join them?
Following AEW Double or Nothing this past weekend in Las Vegas, Khan took his place at the table at the media scrum and addressed several issues relating to AEW’s current and future business.
The topic of Goldberg came up and Khan was quick to point out that he’s spoken with the main event level star but wouldn’t go into further details.
"Yeah, I have talked to Bill. It wouldn’t be that unusual,” said Khan when addressing the assembled wrestling media after Double or Nothing
“I’ve talked to Bill when he’s not been under contract at times, and I have a good relationship with Bill. I have had a good conversation with him, but I’ve had a lot of great conversations with Bill."
Khan added, “We have a lot in common and we have a lot of mutual friends, and I have a really good relationship with Bill. I like him a lot. As to what I’ve talked to him about, I would say that’s just between the two of us. It was a good chat. I like Bill a lot, he’s a great guy.”
