Darby Allin’s incredible rise in AEW sees the 30-year-old headline this Sunday’s Double or Nothing PPV (Pay Per View) as he goes for the biggest prize in the company against Sammy Guevara, Jungleboy, and AEW world champion, MJF.
The four competitors have been labelled AEW’s Four Pillars for a number of years since they contributed to the development and growth of AEW, and all four will share a ring this weekend.
With all four men finally coming together following multiple glimpses of main event potential throughout all their runs under Tony Khan’s guidance, who does Allin see as the person most likely to be in this spot a few years down the line?
AEW is blessed with a number of outstanding young talents, but which one stands out most to the man from Seattle, Washington.
“It’s so hard to say,” said Allin during a lengthy sit-down with DAZN ahead of the biggest match of his career at Double or Nothing.
“You can sometimes get a grasp on somebody who really wants it by the look in their eyes because there’s a lot of people you can tell just have that killer instinct.
“If you really want to be the face of this [AEW] then you need to do everything physically possible like the house shows and all that stuff.
“Who knows? Maybe Hook in four years, but who knows?”
