Drew McIntyre admits huge frustration over historic championship lossDAZN
The Scot will battle for the WWE Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.

WWE superstar Drew McIntyre has shared his frustrations over his WWE Championship loss to Roman Reigns at 2022's Clash at the Castle.

The Scottish Warrior is set to battle Seth 'Freakin' Rollins at WrestleMania for the World Heavyweight title next month, in one of the main events of WWE's biggest weekend of the year.

However, McIntyre - who was the UK's first-ever WWE world champion - believes that he should have been given another world title reign in the main event at 2022's Clash of the Castle, where he took on Roman Reigns at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

Speaking to Gorilla Position, the Scot shared his frustration on not going over in Wales and his feelings on the defeat.

“I was very very upset, I was frustrated," he said.

"I understand the bigger picture with Roman and where the company’s going, where he’s going, how necessary it is. Personally, I believed there was maybe another way to figure out how we can protect what’s going on with him but also elevate McIntyre to where we need him to be for the company.

"We didn’t do it that night, and I thought we could have maybe should have.”
