Drew McIntyre will head to Glasgow next weekend to headline WWE's Clash at the Castle show as he challenges Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Despite not being a fan favourite in the US, the Scottish Warrior is expected to receive a hero's welcome from his hometown fans, many of whom will be unhappy if he doesn't bring home the gold.
Ahead of the big show, McIntyre has sent a warning to current rival CM Punk, just in case he has any ideas of interfering in his big moment.
He told Cultaholic: “I think it would be a mistake for a number of reasons after what happened last time at Clash, I really do not want something like that to happen again to the UK.
“This is Glasgow… this is Scotland, this is different. I would strongly suggest not getting involved or doing anything to rock the boat during this show as there’s a genuine chance you’ll get jumped. I’m not even joking. And there’s a genuine chance the security guards won’t stop them because they’re Scottish as well.
“I’m telling you, there’s a good chance you’ll get jumped and security will help jump you if you get involved in my match.”
Since playing a part in the injury that ruled Punk out of WrestleMania earlier this year, McIntyre and the 'Voice of the Voiceless' have been involved in a heated rivalry, one that's expected to come to a head at SummerSlam if Punk has recovered in time.
